About
What Nocte is, and what it isn’t.
Nocte is a small direct-to-consumer brand with one product: the The Quiet Night Kit, a blackout sleep mask with flat 5mm speakers built into it. We sell it at $64.99 from this website and nowhere else. That is the whole company.
Why this product exists
It was built for one specific situation: you need the room dark and you need something to listen to, at the same time, and you sleep on your side. Every existing answer fails on one of those three. Nightstand speakers wake whoever you share a bed with. Earbuds hurt within a couple of hours and are usually dead by morning. Headphone headbands hide thick speaker pucks exactly where your ear meets the pillow. Eye masks block light but leave the silence, which is its own problem if your ears ring.
So: 5mm flat panels that sit over the ear rather than in it, contoured blackout cups sealed at the nose bridge, a 15-hour battery so sound is still playing at 4am, and a cover that unzips and goes in the washing machine.
What we will not claim
A lot of this category is sold with medical language it has not earned. We have made a deliberate decision not to compete on that, which costs us conversions and is worth it anyway. Nocte is a comfort product, not a medical device. It does not treat, cure, reduce, or relieve tinnitus, insomnia, sleep apnea, or any other condition. What it does is masking: it plays steady sound that many people find makes the ringing easier to ignore at night.
Our FAQ opens with “Will this cure my tinnitus? No.” Every guide we publish carries a section on when to see a doctor, and we name CBT-I as the evidence-based treatment for chronic insomnia even though it is not a thing we sell. If your tinnitus is new, one-sided, pulsing in time with your heartbeat, or getting worse, please see a doctor or audiologist rather than shopping.
How we price it
We ship direct from our manufacturer instead of holding US inventory, which is most of why a mask with these specs costs $64.99 rather than $150. The trade-off is honest and stated everywhere on the site: delivery takes 12 to 18 days, not two. Every order carries a 60-night sleep trial with a full refund and return shipping paid by us, because a sleep mask can only really be judged on your own pillow.
Our reviews
Nocte is new. Until we have collected verified reviews from real customers through our store, the site does not display a star rating or a review count, and our product markup does not send one to Google. Illustrative quotes are labelled as such. We would rather look small than look fake.
Writing and sources
Our guides are written in-house and describe widely accepted, mainstream sleep and audiology concepts: the contrast effect, the occlusion effect, sound masking, sleep cycles, conditioned insomnia. They are educational, not medical advice, and we correct them when they are wrong. If you spot an error, tell us and we will fix it and say that we did.
The sleep calculator is free, requires no email to use, stores nothing you type into it, and is free to embed on your own site.
Press and contact
For press, product samples, corrections, or anything else, email hello@getnocte.com. A real person reads it. Journalists and reviewers: we will send a unit at no cost and with no conditions attached, including no right of review over what you publish.
